The concept of strategy is defined as the arrangement and organization of ideas, the development of plans and procedural measures in order to bring about a positive change in the components of the concerned activity in accordance with the goals, philosophy and directions of the state and in a manner that takes into account the conditions of the present and the aspirations of the future.
The strategy is “a set of ideas and principles that deal with a field of human activity in a comprehensive and integrated manner, and are indicative of the means, requirements, directions and paths of action with the intention of bringing about changes in this field in order to reach specific goals.”
Then, this term was used in educational fields, where Zaytoun referred to two meanings of the word strategy when used in the educational field.
The second meaning: the strategy is viewed as a well-constructed and flexible plan, through which appropriate means are used in an optimal way to achieve the desired goals.
Motor and physical skills are the basis for performing all sporting events in order to obtain positive results and reach higher levels in competitive performance, ensuring victory or achieving the highest results during competition, so we see the pace accelerating towards hard work to raise the level of these skills through training based on A successful scientific method, using all available methods that contribute to reaching the desired level in the shortest way and the best results. Also, sports training in all its methods and for all sports events and games requires a level of harmony and interaction between its basic components represented by the coach, the player and the training plan, which includes the coach’s monitoring of the player in order to diagnose the defect. In performance and work to correct it through observation and feedback during training or matches. (Zeitoun, 2013, p. 279)
Through the work of the researcher as a teacher of physical education and a former basketball player and supervisor of the training of school teams, he found a weakness in the motor performance of fast movements, especially in the shooting mode, with technical errors and difficulty in learning the correct performance of the shooting skill, which was reflected in the technical performance of shooting among the players, with an observation of a problem Represented in the lack of use of modern strategies in observing the trainees during the training units and the different skills in general, and shooting in basketball in particular, which is directly reflected in the level of performance of this skill, knowing that the strategies have a role in helping the training staff in diagnosing the performance defect and working to correct it. Especially with the speed of skill performance and the disproportionate number of players with the number of training staff represented by the coach or his assistants who are responsible for diagnosing the level of performance, especially with players from young age groups being the basic building block of sports clubs and national teams and their need to hone their talents and develop their skills to reach higher levels, in addition to getting to know The effectiveness of using the cognitive training strategy in the general level of skill.
