Evaluation of some components of the physical performance of Newroz Football Club players during the transitional period (positive rest period

The research problem included identifying the rates of getting rid of the effect of training during the transition period (positive rest ) in order to explain to coaches in building their future training programs accordingly for the football game, and the research aims to evaluate some components of the physical performance of football players during the transition period, and compare the rates of decline between some components of physical performance during this transition period among the players of Nowruz sports club football .The researcher used the descriptive method (survey) and associative relationships to address his research problem. The research was conducted on the sample represented by the players of Nowruz Sports Football Club in Sulaimaniyah governorate for the football season 2022-2023, the number of (12 )players and they were selected in a deliberate way . The researcher used a number of tests for the physical performance of football, such as: the test of bounce handling with the wall for 20 seconds. And the test of fast running with the ball (rolling with the ball) for a distance of 100 m .And the test of hitting the ball against the wall and receiving it with the foot .And the lateral rebound running test. After a presentation and discussion of the results, the researcher came to the following conclusions: the highest level of the components of physical performance of the research sample was in the first phase of the transition period(positive rest period), that the level of decline in the components of physical performance of the players began after the end of the first phase and in all physical tests .
