Abstract

The research aimed to identify the effect of the Needham model on learning the skills of dribbling and handling in football for students. The researchers used the experimental approach by designing two equal groups (experimental and control) with a pre and post test on a sample of (30) students from the first stage in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / Wasit University. The sample was divided into two groups, with (15) students for each group, and after conducting homogenization and equivalence processes in the pre-tests, the main experiment was applied, and then the post-tests were conducted and appropriate statistical methods were used after collecting the data for the tests in order to reach the results required to achieve the research goals. The researchers concluded that there is a preference for the experimental group over the control group and that the Needham model contributed to raising the learners' motivation towards educational units and thus raising the level of their mental operations through educational situations according to the model, which affected In producing learning outcomes and reduce the errors that occur during performance. The researchers recommended the need to involve the model in the teaching and all activities in order to raise the level of planning and skill of students.
