Abstract

The aim of the current research is to identify the degree of psychological stress among taekwondo players in Nineveh Governorate. and to identify the differences in the psychological pressures of taekwondo players in Nineveh Governorate, according to the variable (class of players, type of sports participation, training age). To achieve the objectives of the current research, the researchers used the measure of psychological stress for (Al-Hasso and Al-Saati). The basic research sample included (180) Taekwondo players for some sports clubs in Nineveh Governorate. The scale was applied to (72) Taekwondo players from some sports clubs in Nineveh Governorate using the descriptive method. Survey and correlation among the results of the study: 1- The taekwondo players in Nineveh governorate have high negative levels according to the psychological stress scale. 2- There are statistically significant differences between the average responses of Taekwondo players in Nineveh Governorate, according to the psychological stress scale, according to the variable (class of players) and in favor of the category of (applicants).

3- There are statistically significant differences between the average responses of Taekwondo players in Nineveh Governorate, according to the psychological stress scale, according to the variable (type of sports participation) and in favor of (internal) participation.

4- There are statistically significant differences between the average responses of Taekwondo players in Nineveh Governorate, according to the psychological stress scale, according to the variable (training age) and in favor of age (6 years and above).
