The study aimed to prepare a rehabilitation program using symmetrical electrical stimulation and to determine which of the two groups is better (the group that used symmetrical electrical stimulation with rehabilitation exercises or the group that used only rehabilitation exercises) for rehabilitating the muscles that work on the knee joint. The researchers used an experimental method with two experimental groups, pre-test, and post-test. The research community was selected purposively, and the sample consisted of a group of six patients who were divided into two groups: the first group performed only rehabilitation exercises, while the second group used symmetrical electrical stimulation in addition to rehabilitation exercises for eight weeks. Scientific principles were considered in the intensity levels, and the results were processed using the statistical program (SPSS). The following conclusions were reached: The results showed significant differences between the pre- and post-tests for both experimental groups, with the post-tests favoring the second experimental group that used electrical stimulation in addition to rehabilitation exercises over the first experimental group that used exercises only. The researchers recommended the use of electrical stimulation by physical therapy departments in specialized sports medicine centers for its effectiveness in improving the strength of the muscles surrounding the knee joint.
