Abstract

The current research aims to identify the anthropometric lengths and pulmonary variables that serve as an indicator of the best performance in order to select the players who are characterized by the best performance, to indicate who is the most suitable player to practice the series of ground movements in artistic gymnastics.

To achieve this goal, the researcher used the descriptive approach, the survey method, and the correlational method, due to its suitability to the nature of the problem. Distributed to (10) clubs.

Then the researcher determined the pulmonary variables (MVV, RR, HR, FVC, FEV1, PEF) as well as (8) a variable of anthropometric variables lengths (total body, trunk, upper arm, hand, forearm, thigh, leg, foot) and then the researcher proceeded By applying the main experiment on the research sample and after obtaining the results, it was found that the lengths (leg length, thigh length) and (forced vital capacity (FVC) and total pulmonary ventilation (MVV)) have the ability to distinguish players with better performance in a series of ground movements in gymnastics.
