Abstract

In his current research, titled (The Effect of an Educational Curriculum of the Kolb Model on Developing Lateral Thinking and Learning the Skill of Hitting Volleyball for Middle School Students), the researcher aimed to identify the ways of using this model in lateral thinking and performing the skill of smashing among middle The researcher used the experimental method by designing the control and experimental groups, and with pre- and post-tests. The research population was chosen intentionally, namely middle school students. A research sample was chosen from them randomly, after conducting the pre-tests and applying the method prepared by the researcher. school students. By conducting post-tests, the researcher concluded several conclusions by performing statistical treatments on the data resulting from those tests: There are statistically significant differences in the post-tests between the control and experimental groups in lateral thinking and the skill of hitting volleyball, in favor of the experimental group. In light of what the research concluded from its current research, it recommended several recommendations, including: Using Kolb’s model to develop mental abilities and other mathematical skills among learners. Conduct similar studies and research that take the same model and use their results to develop other skills among students.
