Visual sports media and its role in developing and promoting sports culture among physical education teachers

Abstract

    The researcher conducted his current study entitled (Visual Sports Media and its Role in Developing and Enhancing the Sports Culture of Physical Education Teachers), which aimed to identify the extent to which physical education teachers follow visual sports media, as well as to identify the role of this media in developing and enhancing their sports culture The researcher used in his study the descriptive approach with the analytical method by adopting a special questionnaire on the role of visual sports media in promoting sports culture, consisting of (10) paragraphs that dealt with all the axes related to visual media, and it was distributed to the research sample selected from the research community representing the physical education teachers in the education of Babil Governorate, Kutha Education Department, which numbered (30) teachers After applying field research procedures by distributing the questionnaire and answering it by the examinees, and after conducting statistical processing of the data obtained from these answers, the researcher reached several conclusions, including: . The role of visual sports media in developing and promoting sports culture among physical education teachers is still at an average level due to their lack of time to follow up on it and their preoccupation with the teaching tasks assigned to them in addition to the various concerns of life. Based on the findings, the researcher made several recommendations, including: The need to advance sports media programs, both quantitatively and qualitatively, and develop them through the development of media capabilities. Providing all necessary financial and human resources and capabilities for purposeful sports media.
