The hand and fingers are exposed to various types of injuries, and this is a normal situation due to the direct involvement of the hand, especially in handball, as a result of direct contact with the opponent. Statistics indicate that the hand and fingers are involved in this activity at a rate of over 90%.
The research aims to prepare preventive exercises with muscle stimulation to develop muscle strength and flexibility to reduce wrist joint injuries for handball players .The researcher used the experimental method with two experimental and control groups on a sample of 20 handball players from Al-Kout Sports Club. The study lasted for two months, divided into three stages, with three training units per week, each lasting 45 minutes. The researcher concluded that preventive exercises with electrical muscle stimulation have a positive effect on improving muscle strength and range of motion of the wrist joint for the first group, which led to a reduction in injuries compared to the experimental group. The research also emphasized the importance of muscle strength and joint flexibility of the wrist joint in reducing injuries among handball players.
