Sports activities are areas that rely heavily on various elements of physical fitness, because of their essential role in developing motor performance and achieving sports achievement. Speed is one of the most important physical components that actively contribute to the success of sports performance, as it represents the individual's ability to implement movements or motor responses as quickly as possible and in the shortest time. The research aims to identify the relationship between speed and functional responses of handball players. The researcher used the descriptive method in the style of survey studies to suit the nature of the research. The sample consisted of 20 players from the youth of Qalat Sukkar Handball Club and ranged in age from 15 to 18 years, who were selected in the intentional manner. The researchers concluded that there was a statistically D direct correlation between the test (running 30 metres) and the heart rate. The presence of a strapher correlation between the test (running 30 metres) and systolic blood pressure. Absence of correlation between the test (running 30 metres) and the diastolic blood pressure variable. There is no statistically significant correlation between the test (running 30 metres) and the vital capacity variable. Based on the results, the two researchers recommended paying attention to the physiological measurements of handball players because of their great impact on the practice of sports activities.
