Abstract

Despite the increasing number of studies addressing direction-change training in various sports, research investigating its impact on motor response speed and skill performance among futsal players, particularly in the Arab world, remains limited. This highlights the need for applied studies that clarify the effectiveness of this type of training in performance development. Hence, the importance of this research lies in investigating the impact of a training program based on direction-change drills on improving motor response speed and skill performance among futsal players. This research focuses on futsal players, providing scientific evidence that can be used to design scientifically based training programs and contribute to improving their competitive performance. The main question addressed is: What is the effect of Change of Direction (C) training on developing motor response speed and skill performance in futsal players? The research aims to: design a training program based on Change of Direction (C) training that meets the needs of futsal players; identify the effect of the training program on developing motor response speed in futsal players; and identify the effect of the training program on improving the skill performance level of futsal players. To identify the impact of the training program on improving the skill performance level of futsal players. Research Methodology: The researcher used the experimental method with a single-group pre-test and post-test design to suit the nature of the problem. Research Population and Sample: The research sample consisted of 10 players from the futsal team of the College of Basic Education, aged (18-22 years). The research sample included (10) players from the futsal team of the College of Basic Education, aged (18-22 years). Conclusions: The use of Change of Direction Training had a positive impact on the development of the variables under investigation in futsal players. The proposed training program contributed to improving the players' skill performance, specifically dribbling, passing accuracy, and shooting accuracy, due to the connection between Change of Direction Training and the nature of actual playing situations.
