The role of school sports competitions in selecting and guiding athletes towards the type of sports game in Wasit governorate

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the realityof school sports for midle schools in wasit Governorate and to the role of school sports competitions in selecting and directing athletes towards the type of sports game.(60) teachers, and the two researchers conducted the main experiment for the period from 15l 1 l 2023 to 25 l 1 l2023, and the researchers concluded the following:Lack of interest in holding extermal sports competitions, which prevents the achievement of its goals in the process of selection and sports guidance, as well as interest in for the physical aspect only without conducting periodic medical examinations students before and during sports competitions, as well asnot using scientific foundations in the process guidance for the type of sport that : suits them. The following: increasing physical education classes and paying more attention to the psychological aspects.And to the educational and to the application of scientific foundations as an indicator of the process of selection and sprts guidance.
