Abstract

The shooting skill is one of the important basic skills in handball, as the success of this skill depends on the physical and intellectual capabilities that the player must have in order to be able to learn and master them and achieve the required goal of the skill, and that these capabilities need educational strategies that contribute to the learning process and mastering this skill Correctly, the research aimed to identify the impact of information processing strategy in teaching some forms of shooting in handball for the control and experimental groups. And to identify the differences in the effect of the information processing strategy in learning some forms of shooting in handball for the two groups, the researchers used the experimental approach with two groups, the experimental and the control, and the research community represented the players of the National Center for the Care of Sports Talent in handball in Baghdad Governorate, who numbered (40) players from the junior category. The sample was divided into two groups, the control group of (20) players and the experimental group (20) players. The researchers concluded that the information processing strategy had a positive impact on the development of some handball skills of the experimental group. And the use of the information processing strategy has provided more time that can be used to achieve the objectives of the lesson without the embarrassment in the time that can be used in correction and repetition more, and the researchers recommended the adoption of the information processing strategy used by the researchers because of the positive results it showed in the research results. Diversifying the use of exercises and not relying on routine exercises that cast a shadow of boredom on the players, which leads to a lack of rush to perform and develop skills.
