Abstract

Human culture throughout the ages has seen a growing interest in physical strength and physical beauty. The game of bodybuilding, in its modern sense, is an embodiment of this interest, as it combines systematic training and proper nutrition with the aim of developing muscles and improving the appearance of beautyThe research aims to identify the history of the emergence and development of the game of bodybuilding through the ages The researcher used the historical analytical method for its suitability for this study, and this study is based on the collection and analysis of secondary sources available on the history of bodybuilding The most important conclusions reached by the study is that the concept of bodybuilding and the appreciation of strength and physical beauty has historical roots that extend back to ancient civilizations. The twentieth century witnessed a tremendous development in the sport of bodybuilding through the establishment of regulatory bodies, the development of training and nutrition methods, and the acquisition of global popularity.  More in-depth research is needed with a particular focus on the history of the development of bodybuilding in different regions and cultures.  Studies should be conducted on the social and cultural impact of bodybuilding on the concepts of beauty, health and strength in different societies.
