Abstract

The importance of this research lies in its linking of the tourism aspect with the skills aspect, as it attempts to effectively influence skills: contributing to understanding how to control focus in order to raise the excellence and speed of execution of transactional skills (such as aiming and passing). Furthermore, the study highlighted the students' ability to isolate external distractions and focus on physical tasks on the court. The research aimed to identify the relationship between attentional control and offensive basketball skills (passing and shooting) among female students. The researcher also followed the descriptive approach using correlational relationships. The research targeted fourth-year female students, and after applying the main experiment and statistically processing the data, the results were presented and discussed. The researcher reached the most important conclusions, which is that female students who have a low degree of attentional control are more likely to make technical mistakes as a result of being influenced by pressure or the audience. There is a statistically significant correlation between the strength of attentional control and the level of offensive skills performance; the greater the student's ability to control her attention, the better her skill performance.
