Transformational leadership and its relationship to effective management of the Iraqi Athletics Federation from the referees' perspective

Abstract

The problem can be summarized in two questions:

Does the relationship between transformational leadership and effective management contribute to improving referee performance?

Does this research support the strategic vision of the Iraqi Athletics Federation by promoting transformational leadership and effective management? The research also aims to: identify the two research scales, transformational leadership and effective management, of the Iraqi Athletics Federation from the referees' perspective; and identify the relationship between transformational leadership and effective management of the Iraqi Athletics Federation from the referees' perspective. To achieve these objectives, the researcher chose the descriptive approach. Using a survey method, he selected a sample of (100) athletics referees, dividing it into a pilot, a preliminary, and a main sample. He then developed two scales: Transformational Leadership and Effective Management. After that, the researcher identified the variables, extracted the results and correlations, and arrived at several conclusions and recommendations, including: Transformational leadership plays a positive role in achieving effective management within the Iraqi Athletics Federation. There is a growing awareness of the importance of cooperation within the federation to achieve success. It is essential to adopt a program that evaluates the federation's performance regularly. Similar studies should be conducted that address the study variables and utilize other samples.
