Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to identify the relationship between certain motor abilities and the accuracy of the volleyball spike skill performed by players at the specialized center in Wasit . The training phase for these motor abilities is crucial and requires specific exercises to develop them, particularly those related to the accuracy of the volleyball spike. This saves time and effort and serves as an effective teaching method for coaches to achieve optimal results. Based on the researcher's experience in volleyball and his observation of tournaments organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, he noted that many coaches do not consider modern methods and techniques in developing motor abilities. This observation formed the core of the research problem, which dictated the appropriate methodology for finding suitable solutions. The researcher employed a descriptive survey approach, deemed suitable for the nature of the study. Among the key findings was a strong correlation between motor abilities and the accuracy of volleyball skill performance, demonstrated by the presence of significant relationships between them. The achievement of high levels in motor abilities (reaction speed, agility, and flexibility) by the players at the specialized volleyball center, coupled with their accurate performance in the spike skill, led to a significant correlation between these abilities and the overall performance.
