"Creative Teaching Practices among Faculty Members and Departments of Physical Education and Sports Science"

Abstract

The research aims to identify: Identifying creative teaching practices among faculty members and departments of Physical Education and Sports Science. Identifying the differences in creative teaching practices among professors in the College and Departments of Physical Education and Sports Sciences according to two variables (academic title, years of service). The researchers used the descriptive approach and the survey method. The research sample was selected using a deliberate comprehensive enumeration method. The research sample included (170) professors in the College and Departments of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul. The researchers used the questionnaire of creative practices prepared by (Al-Aswad, 2014), where the questionnaire consisted of (22) phrases, and each phrase had four answers. The correct phrase was chosen, and as for the weights, (1) was given to the correct answer and (0) to the rest of the wrong answers. The data were processed statistically using the percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, alpha coefficient, and one-way analysis of variance using the statistical program (SPSS) in data analysis. The researchers concluded the following; Preparing training courses for university professors on creative methods in university teaching.  Holding workshops on creative teaching skills for new university professors.  Appointing educational supervisors at the university to guide university professors and monitor their activities, as approved by the Ministry of Education.
