Abstract

The importance of this research lies in studying the impact of integrated skill-tactical training exercises on developing the covering and marking skills of young football players. These skills play a fundamental role in improving defensive performance, enhancing players' efficiency in handling various game situations, and providing coaches with a scientific basis for developing training processes that align with the demands of modern football. The research aimed to identify the impact of integrated skill-tactical training exercises on developing the covering and marking skills of young football players. The researcher adopted an experimental approach and targeted a specific research population consisting of defensive and midfield players from clubs in Al-Hay district participating in the governorate league for the 2024-2025 season. The research sample was selected randomly from Al-Shaheed Sports Club. The researcher concluded that using the integrated skill-tactical training method led to a significant improvement in the covering and marking skills of under-17 football players.
