Performance evaluation of a physical education teacher in the Wasit Education Directorate

Abstract

This study aimed to answer the following questions: What is the current level of teaching performance among physical education teachers?  Does teaching performance have positive effects on the education directorates in Wasit Governorate? The research also aims to: develop and identify a research scale for measuring the teaching performance efficiency of physical education teachers in Wasit Governorate. To achieve these objectives, the researchers chose the descriptive survey method and selected a sample of (194) physical education teachers in Wasit Governorate. The study was divided into exploratory, preparatory, and main phases. The researchers then developed a research scale for teaching performance efficiency. Afterwards, they reviewed the scale and extracted the results, arriving at several conclusions and recommendations, including the ease of applying the study scale. After confirming the sample's understanding of the responses and the ease of applying the study's scale, physical education teachers in Wasit Governorate demonstrated a good level of teaching performance. Encouraging teachers to improve their performance across all areas of teaching effectiveness. The need for further studies addressing variables not covered in the current study, as well as applying the findings to other samples. Conducting similar studies that address the study's variables and use other samples.
