Abstract

The current research aims to identify the effectiveness of a training program based on KAATSU training in developing some physiological variables among track and field athletes. This was achieved through measuring the level of certain physiological variables among the research sample before applying the training program, implementing the proposed training program using KAATSU training on the research sample, measuring the level of certain physiological variables among the research sample after applying the training program, and identifying the significance of the differences between the pretest and posttest measurements in the physiological variables under investigation,The researcher used the experimental method due to its suitability to the nature of the research and employed an experimental design with pre-, intermediate-, and post-measurements for one experimental group. The researcher selected a random sample of track and field athletes consisting of (18) athletes, divided into (10) athletes for the pilot study (validation and reliability of the tests) and (8) athletes for the experimental group,Among the most important results was the presence of statistically significant differences between the measurements (pretest, intermediate, and posttest) for all the physiological variables studied, including vital capacity, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, and heart rate, in favor of the posttest measurement. This indicates the effectiveness of the training program based on KAATSU training in improving these variables,Among the most important recommendations was the use of KAATSU training within the physical preparation programs of track and field athletes to enhance physiological variables such as vital capacity, heart rate, and blood pressure, thereby contributing to the improvement of athletic performance.
