Abstract

That psychological burnout is one of the phenomena that has negative effects on the physical education teacher, and this effect appears in the decline in his performance, his effort, his frequent absences, and negative behaviors in dealing with others, so the importance of the research lies in its being an attempt to know and study the phenomenon of psychological burnout for teachers and try to know the differences between physical education teachers with a style Personality (a) and (b) in the psychological burnout of teachers, and the research aims to identify the degree of dimensions of psychological burnout and in the total degree, and to identify the personality type of type (a) and (b), as well as to identify the significance of the differences in the dimensions of psychological burnout for teachers Those with personality type (a) and (b) and its total score among physical education teachers in primary schools.

The researcher assumed that there are statistically significant differences in the dimensions of psychological burnout for teachers with personality type (a) and (b) and in the total score, as the descriptive approach was used, and the sample was the physical education teachers of primary schools in the General Directorate of Education of Anbar Governorate for the academic year 2022-2023 AD, whose number (245) teachers, and the scales (Teachers Burnout) and (Leportner's Personality Type) were applied and used, and the conclusions were reached:

  1. The emergence of differences between teachers of type (a) and type (b) in the dimension of occupational stress and in the total score of the psychological burnout scale for teachers.
  2. There were no differences between teachers of type (a) and type (b) in job dissatisfaction dimension, in the dimension of low level of administrative support, and in the dimension of negative attitude towards students in the measure of psychological burnout for teachers.

The recommendations are:

  1. Emphasis on the role and importance of psychological burnout for teachers of physical education and the promotion of positive aspects.
  2. Work to reduce or eliminate the phenomenon of psychological burnout among teachers of physical education because of its role in destroying the capabilities, capabilities and psyche of each teacher.
  3. The need to conduct a similar study and find out the differences between physical education teachers in middle schools and physical education teachers in middle schools.
  4. The necessity of conducting a study to compare male and female physical education teachers according to educational attainment and years of service as well.
