The research goal is to :
- Determining the simple global construction of physical abilities tests as an indicator for the initial selection of parkour gymnastics
- Determining a set of brief measures that represent the extracted factors, which are indicators for the initial selection of parkour gymnastics
The descriptive approach was used in the survey method for its suitability and the nature of the research, and the research community included advanced parkour gymnasts in the city of Mosul, who numbered)(65) players, while the research sample amounted to (44) players, who were chosen from the research community
To achieve the research objectives, the researcher did:
Analyzing the content of a number of previous research related to the game, as well as reviewing, viewing and analyzing some specialized scientific references, and conducting scientific interviews with a number of experts for the purpose of determining the physical capabilities in parkour gymnastics, after that the number of general tests for each physical ability was nominated, as the number reached (31) tests, which were presented to a number of experts .
The researcher used the following statistical methods:
The arithmetic mean, standard deviation, percentage, and simple correlation coefficient (Pearson, Kolmogorov-Smirnov) to show the normal distribution, standard error, and factor analysis using the principal components method and rotation using the orthogonal rotation method . ,
The data was processed statistically using the statistical package (IBM Spss).
After all general and specific physical ability tests for parkour gymnasts were included in the factor analysis, the researcher reached the following conclusions:
Factorial analysis using orthogonal rotation, which was conducted on31- physical tests for parkour gymnasts, showed (11) factors, (6) factors of which were accepted according to the conditions of acceptance of the factor .
- Physical abilities tests were extracted in the light of the extracted factors, whose units represented the highest saturations on the factors, as follows:
- The first factor: a test from a standing position on the box, bending the torso forward and down.
The second factor: Test standing with one foot longitudinally on the crossbar-
The third factor : Testing jumping over obstacles with both feet-
: Run test 120- Fourth factor: meters from the high starting position
-Fifth factor : Bend and extend the arms upward test with clapping from the frontal support .
Walking test on a balance beam .5 Sixth facto r: metres-
- Units extracted for tests are pure standards-
The researcher recommended the following :
- - Benefiting from the extracted tests for advanced players in building training progra
-Taking into account the factors extracted for students at this age stage when observing growth
. Conducting similar studies on other groups (youth, young people)-
- Providing the Directorate of Sports and Scout Activities in Nineveh Governorate with the results of this research and adopting it as an indicator for selection and working according to its results in the schools of the province
