Abstract

The importance of research using the ballistic training method to develop unique strength and speed for basketball players, as well as their peaceful shooting performance, and the potential contribution of this development to improving the players' performance level and deciding game results. The research objectives were to prepare ballistic training exercises to develop unique strength and speed for basketball players and their peaceful shooting performance. The researcher used the experimental method by designing two test groups (pre-test and post-test) to suit the nature of the research problem. The research sample consisted of advanced players from the Derbent-Khan sports club, and they were purposely selected, with a total of 16 players, and 4 players were excluded to conduct the survey study, reducing the actual research sample to 12 players divided into two groups, control and experimental, randomly with 6 players each. The most important conclusions reached by the researcher were that exercises using the ballistic method had an impact on developing unique strength and speed for basketball players and their peaceful shooting performance in the experimental group. Therefore, the researcher recommended emphasizing the use of various exercises and different methods when designing the training program to enhance its effectiveness and contribution to developing physical abilities.
