Abstract

The modeling strategy works to impart individual with motor, behavioral, and cognitive patterns through observing the performance of appropriate models. There are several types of modeling, including direct, indirect, and participatory. Live modeling has been used in this research due to its importance in the motor learning process, as it deals with different models, leading to addressing differences and disparities. This strategy aims to deliver skills smoothly and correctly, helping to facilitate proper and highly motivated learning. The research aims to identify the impact of live modeling strategy on learning some football skills for first-grade middle school students. The researchers used the experimental approach suitable for the nature of the study. The research community consisted of students from Al-Thabat Intermediate School for Boys, one of the schools of the Education Directorate of Al-Karkh, Baghdad, for the second term of the academic year (2022-2023), with a total of (163) students distributed among (4) classes. The research sample was divided into two classes from the first grade, namely (A, D), selected using simple random sampling (lottery) to form two groups, each consisting of (10) students. The researchers concluded that live modeling helped students identify the correct performance of the skills under study, recognize the difficulties and errors associated with skill performance. The researchers recommend training teachers and educators during service to be a good model or to use a model that leads to skills being performed well, easily, and correctly.
