The impact of the seventh learning cycle strategy (ES.7) in teaching some basic handball skills to students

The development and progress in all sports levels and other sciences are attributed to the advancement in the strategies, methods, and techniques used in teaching and their utilization to deliver knowledge to the student in a better and faster manner, taking into account the capabilities and levels of the learners. The more effective these means are, the better the outcomes of the teaching process. Therefore, the researcher utilized the strategy (ES.7) which aids in the development and learning of some basic skills in handball. The aim of the research is to identify the impact of using the ES.7 seven-step learning cycle strategy on learning some basic skills in handball for students and preparing educational units for handball according to the (ES.7) seven-step learning cycle strategy. The researcher used the experimental method with the pretest-posttest two-group design. The research sample consisted of second-year students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / Wasit University, totaling (61) students who were selected randomly. The sample was divided into two groups, the control group consisting of (20) students and the experimental group consisting of (20) students, making the total number of students in both groups (40). The researcher concluded that the Seven-Step Learning Cycle (ES.7) strategy had a significant impact on teaching some basic handball skills, and that effective organization of the stages of the learning cycle (ES.7) and its application through lesson plans facilitates its implementation and planning in real-life settings. The researcher recommended the use of the Seven-Step Learning Cycle (ES.7) strategy in other studies, activities, and different age groups.
