The research aimed to identify cognitive integration and its relationship to the performance of the spiking skill in volleyball among fourth-grade female students. The researchers adopted the descriptive approach in collecting and analyzing information. They relied on the Mohammed Naji Hassan (2019) scale to measure cognitive integration.
The research sample consisted of 30 female students from the fourth stage at Al-Khadraa Secondary School for Gifted Girls, selected randomly through a lottery from groups (B and D).
The researchers reached several conclusions, the most important being that there is a statistically significant correlation between cognitive integration and spiking skill performance among the study sample. The results indicate that cognitive integration plays a fundamental role in performing the spiking skill in volleyball, as it helps students adapt to changing situations, make precise decisions, and enhance team cooperation.
The researchers recommended the importance of developing cognitive integration through continuous training, which improves quick and accurate decision-making during gameplay, making it a crucial factor in enhancing the spiking skill in volleyball for female students. Additionally, they emphasized the need for similar studies on different age groups and various other sports activities.
