Emotional intelligence and its relationship to sportsmanship among the famous basketball player in Dhi Qar Governorate

Abstract

The research problem is highlighted. The research topic on sportsmanship and emotional intelligence is one of the important sports topics, especially in basketball, as this game is characterized by friction and aggression. This is evident from previous research that addressed these characteristics that characterize basketball. The research also aims to: identify the research scales, identify the relationship between the research scales (emotional intelligence and sportsmanship), the researcher chose the descriptive approach using the survey method, and he also chose a sample of (40) basketball players in Dhi Qar. After completing the process of selecting the research scales, they were applied to the application sample, and the results and correlation were extracted. The researcher reached several conclusions and recommendations, including the distinction between emotional intelligence and sportsmanship among basketball players in Dhi Qar. Players accept the nature of basketball. It is necessary to develop guidance programs that develop intelligence and sportsmanship. Similar studies should be conducted that address the study variables and include other samples.
