Abstract

This research aims to highlight the importance of implementing a professional financial system as a strategic gateway for transforming traditional sports clubs into sustainable investment-oriented institutions. The study explores the concept of institutional transformation in the sports sector, outlining the key features required for clubs to become professionally managed entities operating under standards of transparency, governance, and diversified revenue streams.

A significant part of the research is dedicated to the role of digital technology and digital governance in supporting this transformation. Modern systems such as ERP and AIS are examined for their contribution to enhancing financial transparency, improving the quality of decision-making, and enabling clubs to scale their investment capabilities. The research also identifies the main challenges facing this transformation—such as the lack of supportive legislation, shortage of qualified professionals, and weak technological infrastructure—and proposes practical recommendations to overcome them.

The study concludes that transitioning towards a professional institutional model in sports requires a comprehensive strategic vision, political will, and a regulatory environment conducive to sustainability, enabling clubs to thrive economically and contribute meaningfully to national development.
