The Effectiveness of the Four-Pillar Strategy on Cognitive Achievement and Accuracy of Handball Skills for Fourth-Year Preparatory School Girls

Abstract

The current research aims to identify ( The Effectiveness of the Four-Pillar Strategy on Cognitive Achievement in Handball for Fourth-Year Preparatory School Girls - The Effectiveness of the Four-Pillar Strategy on Accuracy of Handball Skills for Fourth-Year Preparatory School Girls)  The experimental approach was adopted as the appropriate method to achieve the research objectives. The research population is the fourth-year preparatory school students at Al-Murtada Secondary School for Girls, numbering (70) for their cooperation in serving the research. They will be divided into two groups: a control group and an experimental group, each comprising (60) students, divided equally into two groups. Thus, the research sample represents (85.7%) of the population. The researchers adopted the handball cognitive achievement scale previously developed (Muhaisin, 2015). The scale consists of (27) Paragraphs. After deleting the paragraphs related to unstudied skills, the scale consists of 18 paragraphs in its final form. The researchers conducted a equivalence test for the research sample, and then deliberately conducted pre-tests on the research sample. The Four Pillars strategy was applied at a rate of two educational units per week over a period of (6) weeks. After implementing and completing the educational units introduced into the curriculum, the researchers conducted post-tests. Data was collected and statistically analyzed to reach a number of conclusions, the most important of which are: (The Four Pillars strategy proved effective in improving the level of cognitive achievement among fourth-year preparatory handball students. The Four Pillars strategy played a significant role in developing the level of accuracy of passing among fourth-year preparatory handball students. The Four Pillars strategy played a significant role in developing the level of accuracy of shooting among fourth-year preparatory handball students. The Four Pillars strategy demonstrated significant cooperation among students within the educational class, which had a positive impact on correcting performance. Based on this, the researchers recommended: - (Adopting the Four Pillars strategy as an effective educational strategy for developing basic skills. - Utilizing the current study to improve handball teaching curricula.)
