The research problem focuses on the significance of modern instructional strategies in teaching complex offensive skills to junior football players, given their role in accelerating skill acquisition and enhancing performance levels. These strategies are considered effective tools for developing players’ technical abilities and enabling them to efficiently manage competitive situations. The researcher employed the SCAMPER strategy as an innovative approach to accelerate learning and improve technical performance. The importance of this study lies in its contribution as a training model that supports the development of players’ technical proficiency, which in turn positively impacts their effectiveness on the pitch. The research also aims to examine the comparative effectiveness of the SCAMPER strategy versus the traditional method adopted by coaches in teaching and performing complex offensive skills among junior football players. The study adopted an experimental methodology with a pre-test and post-test design for two equivalent groups (experimental and control). The research population was defined as the players of Al-Muhandis Football School at the Al-Aziziya Youth Forum for the 2024–2025 season in Wasit Governorate, within the juniors’ age category (12–14 years), totaling 36 players. A simple random sampling method was applied, using a lottery system, to select 24 players as the research sample. They were divided equally into two groups, experimental and control (12 players each), after excluding 12 players (3 goalkeepers and 9 players for the two pilot studies). The experimental group underwent training sessions designed according to the SCAMPER strategy for a period of 8 weeks, with 3 training units per week. Upon completion of the intervention, post-tests were conducted, and data were statistically processed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).
The study concluded with several findings, the most significant of which was that the SCAMPER strategy had a positive impact on the performance of key complex offensive skills among junior football players at Al-Muhandis Football School, Al-Aziziya Youth Forum.
