The effect of educational units according to the training method in learning how to light and extinguish fires for the central scout group (advanced scout)

Abstract

The importance of the study lies in using the training method in educational units, which gives opportunities to a large number of students to learn. This method was designed and established to increase student movement and provide sufficient time to practice scouting activity. This method gives students freedom during learning and transfers part of the leader’s work to them. The main problem of the research was represented by the weakness in learning some scouting skills, including lighting fires for the central scouting group among the secondary stage. Therefore, the researcher decided to delve into this problem and identify the causes, as well as try to develop appropriate solutions in order to raise the level of learning these skills. The objectives of the study are to prepare educational units according to the training method and to identify its impact on learning some types of fires for the central scouting group for boys in the secondary stage. Research Methodology and Sample The researcher used the experimental method for its suitability to the nature of the problem to be solved. The research sample consisted of the central scout group for boys for the secondary stage in (sports and scouting activity - Diyala Education) with a number of (24) students. Based on the results of the research, the researcher reached the following conclusions: The educational units with the training method that were applied to the sample members had a positive role in learning some types of fire among students at this age group, as this improvement in performance appeared as a result of the correct repetition of the exercises and in accordance with the scientific method. The training method is also the most time-consuming in the physical education lesson.
