The Effect of Using the Goode-La-Voie Model on Handball Handling and Shooting Skills for Students

Abstract

    By observing the teaching process of some scientific lessons for second-year handball students, it was found that there was a discrepancy in the performance of some skills, despite the availability of scientific capabilities among those in charge of teaching. However, this was due to the difficulty of the skills among students and the lack of activation of the role of the learner in the educational programs, where the learner is a passive recipient of information rather than a more positive role. This study aimed to develop educational units based on the Joude La Voie model for handball for students. Therefore, the researcher used the experimental method. The research community was represented by second-year students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / University of Wasit / morning studies for the academic year (2024-2025), numbering (175) students divided into (5) study sections. The main sample consisted of two groups selected randomly and by lottery, representing (70) students. Each group consisted of (35) students, where the experimental group (D) was the group, while the control group was the group (C). The most important conclusions reached by the researcher are that the two research groups have achieved development, and the use of the Goode La Voie model had a positive impact on the superiority of the experimental group and a clear improvement in the level of the students in some skills, especially the skills of handling from above the shoulder level and shooting from a high jump in handball for the students.
