Abstract

 Abstract

The study aims to understand the impact of climate change on the conduct of physical education classes, teaching basic skills in physical education to students, analyzing the effect of climate change on students' performance in physical education classes, developing educational strategies to deal with climate change during the teaching of physical education, and providing recommendations to improve the learning environment and enhance the impact of climate change on the conduct of physical education classes. The study community consists of students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Science at the University of the Future (Iraq), totaling approximately 1200 students, with a study sample of 150 third-year students. The study utilized a descriptive survey experimental approach, and data was collected through questionnaires allowing for the collection of hypothetical individual data. The study was conducted from September 1, 2022, to September 27, 2023. The conclusions indicated an increase in students' awareness of the importance of taking measures to protect against the negative effects of climate change, as well as an increase in promoting sustainability values. Furthermore, it was recommended to continue developing curricula to include climate change topics and to provide more training for faculty members on how to teach climate change.
